Alfonso N. Cornish, system vice president learning and organizational development/chief learning officer, has been with Norton Healthcare since March 2006. He is responsible for the leadership of Norton University, which includes various staff, physician, leadership and executive development programs, as well as e-learning offerings. With more than thirty years experience in administrative, training, human resource and operations management, he has been in senior leadership roles in some of the most well-known Fortune 500 companies in America.

His community, professional, and social affiliations include Life Member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Louisville Branch, and several others. He serves on numerous boards that include the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, The Healing Place, Family Scholar House Board of Trustees, Spalding University Board of Trustees, Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, and many more.
